M.Ed
Client Experience
Product & UX Designer
With over 15 years of diverse experience spanning computer information systems, education, and UX design, I bring a unique perspective to financial services. My journey began in special education, where I learned that the best solutions come from truly understanding people's needs - not just their stated goals, but the challenges they face along the way.
As a former special education teacher turned UX designer, I've seamlessly bridged my skill sets to champion accessibility and inclusivity in everything we build at Martello. I believe that financial planning tools should work for everyone - regardless of technical comfort level or background.
At Martello, I oversee the client experience from first contact through ongoing relationship. My approach emphasizes close collaboration, in-depth research, empathy, and user journey mapping - ensuring that every interaction with our firm feels intuitive, respectful of your time, and focused on what matters most: your retirement.
My goal is simple: remove the friction so you can focus on your future, not paperwork.
My background in education provides the foundation for how I approach client experience:
I apply modern design thinking to create seamless client experiences:
I now call Virginia Beach home, where I live with my husband Charles and our son.
When I'm not designing client experiences, you'll find me spending time with family, exploring creative projects, and continuing to learn about the intersection of technology and human-centered design.
I'd love to hear about your situation and see if we might be a good fit.
